Gifts for Historians

A couple of weeks ago, Andrea Eidinger posted a truly remarkable list of "Gifts for Historians" at Unwritten Histories. So if time is getting tight and your things-to-buy list remains blank, have a look.  It would be a truly dull historian -- not that such creatures exist, bien sur; no dull writers, only dull audiences! -- who could not be pleased with something from all these suggestions:
Online gift guides for historians, history-buffs, or even academics tend to be limited almost exclusively to books. I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t want more work for the holidays, not to mention random history books by questionable authors from well-meaning gift-givers....
So with that in mind, I’ve compiled a list of gift suggestions at roughly six different price points.
The prices are nicely delineated too: levels from Grad Student to University Administrator, with appropriate price increases.

If you still think historians actually like books as gifts, and I hope you do, considering the book-flogging I've been doing here lately, Canada's History's Book and Gift Guide, which has way more books than gifts, offers a good sampler of what's recent in Canadian historical writing.
